All that Glitters...

I've been in San Jose for the past week with Nilo Francisco, finalizing my residency here. Apart from the totally tedious hours and hours of queing in banks and at immigration, we had a fabulous time! We went to the movies (Nilo's first time in a movie theatre!). We went to the Parque de Diversiones (amusement park). And we finally got to visit the Central Bank's Pre-Columbian Gold Museum and the Costa Rican Jade Museum, which I've been wanting to do for sometime now.



















I took alot of photos. Nearly 500. And given that these were all taken without flash, and that the pieces were mostly behind glass with the reflection of overhead lighting, I'm super pleased with the results.



















I'm planning to use these visits as the basis for a new, historical collection for Bainbridge&Houseberg this year. I'm planning to upload all of these images somewhere (I'll post a link here). Here are a couple of my favorites of Nilo in the meantime. I have alot of reading to catch up on, as I have been out of internet space for 7 days... WOW! alot sure happens in that short time!
